For Marcy Whelan, a career in human resources has been the perfect fit. That’s because at its core, human resources is the intersection of people and business, and those are Marcy’s strengths. Marcy understands and truly cares for her clients, becoming deeply invested in their success. At the same time, she has a knack for understanding an organization’s needs, and what is necessary to maintain and enhance their brand.
So it comes as no surprise that the Missouri State Council of SHRM recognized Marcy’s outstanding reputation in the HR community when it honored her with the LEAD Award at the organization’s annual conference at Tan-Tar-A in August. The LEAD Award stands for Leadership, Excellence, Achievement and Dedication, terms that truly describe Marcy. She has served as membership co-chair of the Lewis & Clark chapter of SHRM, and provides guidance to the chapter as a member of its core leadership team. Her name has become synonymous with excellence and achievement through her years of experience on both the corporate and agency side of the search business.
Over the more than 15 years she has spent in human resources and recruiting, Marcy has garnered an enviable list of colleagues, clients, and candidates who respond to her call or contact without hesitation, as a person of high integrity and trust. Congratulations, Marcy, on this well-deserved award!
