The future workplace is here and the focus is on people…
“This is a perfect time to do some soul-searching within your organization. Work may have changed for good these past two years—and that may be a good thing. Our advice: embrace it. Don’t just ask your employees to bring their best selves to the workplace. Bring your best workplace to your employees. That’s the best way to set up your recruiters and talent acquisition teams for success.” The Future Workplace and How to Prepare (talentculture.com)
A few weeks ago, a group of panelists from local organizations like Panera, Mercy, Enterprise and Schnucks came together to share thoughts around talent attraction and retention during the Advance STL Talent in the Balance series with the St. Louis Business Journal. The moderator opened with a question and some research: How responsible do you feel for your employees? In the past two years, the percentage has significantly increased, and organizations are recognizing and embracing the need to take care of their team members holistically. Employees are actively searching for companies who embrace this aspect of the future of work rather than resist it. Culture is a driving force for talent and organizations need to be clear, intentional and inclusive about how this is created and sustained.
