A few weeks ago, a group of panelists from local organizations like Panera, Mercy, Enterprise and Schnucks came together to share thoughts around talent attraction and retention during the Advance STL Talent in the Balance series with the St. Louis Business Journal. The moderator opened with a question and some research: How responsible do you feel for your employees? In the past two years, the percentage has significantly increased, and organizations are recognizing and embracing the need to take care of their team members holistically. Employees are actively searching for companies who embrace this aspect of the future of work rather than resist it. Culture is a driving force for talent and organizations need to be clear, intentional and inclusive about how this is created and sustained.
