As part of their commitment to the community, the ROI Search Partners team assisted local students with some “real life” financial decision making on Tuesday, March 26 at the Junior Achievement (JA) Finance Park in Chesterfield. The team was on hand for the day to volunteer with JA, an organization that teaches children financial literacy and provides youth with the necessary tools to ensure smart economic decisions.
Participating youth, ages 7th grade through 12th grade, are given lives — complete with jobs, income, debt, credit ratings — and in some cases families. As the students rise to the challenges that accompany their adult personas, they make their way through the interactive Finance Park visiting businesses, financial institutions and other resources gathering information to assist in their financial decision making. Engaging with students, ROI team members helped with budgets and served as advisors as the youth navigated though their “life situations.” The team enjoyed their roles and interacting with the students, and feel fortunate to be part of a business that strongly values and encourages community involvement and volunteerism.
